Serving in Guatemala since 2000

It all started with a dream…

Open Heavens Guatemala started in 2000 as a family project, with five children receiving school scholarships. Over the years, with the help of friends and partners, the ministry has grown significantly while keeping the same heart and vision — providing opportunities and resources to impoverished Guatemalan children so that they can reach their full potential.

TESTIMONIALS FROM STUDENTS

OHG was the light that illuminated my path.

Open Heavens Guatemala provided me with a scholarship. Thanks to OHG I was able to fulfill one of my dreams, which was to graduate as an accountant.

I have been working in OHG as a volunteer for the past 8 years. During these years God has given me the opportunity to fulfill frustrated dreams, goals that seemed impossible. I have been able to meet people who have big hearts, people who are willing to help and support other without any expectations.

Thanks to OHG, I have been able to develop in various areas of my life. I am almost finishing my studies in Pedagogy and Human Rights at the National University. Open Heavens Guatemala has brought hope to me and my family.

Rosita, Graduate

OHG was fundamental in my success.

Thanks to the principles and encouragement of OHG, I was admitted to the University of San Carlos de Guatemala. I am very grateful to the different people in OHG since it was them who planted the vision and dreams of becoming a professional and to improve and excel as a person.

Angel, Graduate

These eight years have been such a great blessing!

I want to thank everyone in OHG. Thanks a lot for giving me the opportunity to belong to this program. I have grown and learned a lot. Thanks for being there for me all the time.
