Open Heavens Guatemala started over 20 years ago by building on an effort by the Gamarro family to help very needy children and families within their community. Currently a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, the main focus of OHG is education and training in leadership, teamwork, and vocational skills.
OHG has grown over the years into a more comprehensive ministry of meeting various needs of the people in the area of Sacatepéquez, a municipality northwest of Guatemala City. In addition to providing tuition, school supplies, food, clothing, hope, and encouragement to many, we have also undertaken several building projects. We are thrilled about our latest endeavor — The Dream Center.
